No, I don't mean fat. This is how to look Fortune 500. I got these ideas from Tim Feriss's book, "The 4-hour work week." (Most of it I quote).
1. Don't be the CEO or the founder. Being the CEO or founder screams start-up. Give yourself the mid-level title of "vice president" or "director."
2. Put multiple email and phone contacts on the website. Example: "contact us" or "human resources" or "support". In the beginning, these will all forward to your primary email address. Multiple toll free numbers can be used in the same way.
3.Get a 1-800 number. Much "bigger" looking. This way, people won't know that you are operating out of your garage (sitting in your underwear).
4. Set up a interactive voice response. Did you know this costs around $30?? Use companies such as angel.com
5. Do not provide home address. Unless of course you want visitors. If you decide to use a PO box instead, DO NOT let people see the PO Box. Instead, use the actual street the PO box is located. Also, if you have an apartment, use the word "suite."
